I think we would all agree that the past several years have been uniquely and globally life changing. From infants to the aging, we are different. For years to come we will be saying “Oh ya, that was before Covid”. With the pandemic came trauma. Trauma that will have lasting negative effects on our bodies, minds and spirits. Our mental health was compromised and more than ever we need and want help. I am in a position to provide the kind of help and guidance that so many are seeking. I have the skills and background to provide support through intentional, meaningful life changes.

I have been working with children, teens and families for the past 10 years in the public school setting as a counselor. This work environment has awarded me a wide range of experiences and opportunities for personal and professional growth. I received my master’s degree from The University of Dayton in Ohio in 2014. The program I completed was CACREP accredited, which ensures quality of course construction, defining professional goals and measuring growth.

With that, I would say that the “real” learning for me has happened in the field. I have been in a role that requires me to support, coach and teach colleagues, parents, caregivers, siblings and students. I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Therapy, both theories are effective in changing life patterns. I am so excited to expand my work in this way and look forward to working with you!
